Eighteen year old Tatum Krause wants nothing more than to finish her senior year without any more drama. After the near overdose of her drug abusing mother the previous year, she moved out in the hopes of making something better for herself. However, the week before her final year, she ends up needing the help of a sexy stranger who’s about to flip her world on its axis.
Jacoby Ryan only wants one thing: to forget his past. The last two years have been filled with empty feelings and women in an attempt to stem the heartache and guilt. He’s ghosted blindly through the motions until late one night, he finds a car stalled on the side of an empty highway where he meets a beautiful girl with a haunted look in her eyes.
She has a secret, but so does he. Despite their magnetic pull, the two come to the shocking revelation their relationship isn’t so black and white. Is it possible to fight a bone-deep attraction when the entire universe is telling you it’s wrong?

about the author

A.M. Wilson fell in love with writing in second grade when she won a young writers’ contest. She spent the years following carrying around a spiral notebook, which she filled with poetry and short stories detailing the dramatics of being a young girl. When she hit her college years, she set the notebooks down and fell in love with reading romance novels. She may have attended college four separate times in four different fields, but always knew in her heart writing was her true passion. She grew up in Duluth, Minnesota and spent her summers in the cold waters of Lake Superior, but relocated to the Twin Cities with the love of her life and has two spirited children who make her world go round.

Free eBooks on Kindle / Amazon

Being a college student, I am strapped for cash. But I love to shop. So I found the next best thing. Free eBooks on Amazon. I not only "shop" for books, but I get to expand my library. Some of these books are pretty amazing, and well some are duds. You can't really complain, They're FREE! And with them being free, I don't mind adding every book. I can always delete it, and re-find it in my eBook Orders.

I'm thinking about making this a weekly thing. Or maybe only when I find something really amazing and too good to be true of a deal. We shall see! So many times these free books are for a limited time, so I will try my best.

Here are some free books that I read and loved, or books that are very popular with high ratings that I added to my TBR:

Debt Inheritance (Indebted #1) by Pepper Winters
Amazon // Goodreads
For a VERY LIMITED TIME. This is a promotional sale, to amp up the hype of the 4th book in this series coming out in a few days.

Opposing Sides (University Park Series #1) by C.M. Doporto
Amazon //  Goodreads
I actually read the whole series and this is a good contemporary college romance book. Book 3 was eh, but I still cannot wait for book 4 to come out. Yikes! I need to do a review of these ASAP.

The Ghost Files by Apryl Baker
Amazon // Goodreads
Rumor has it this might become a movie or tv show soon.

Seven Sons (Gypsy Brothers #1) by Lili St. Germain
Amazon // Goodreads
This has been recommended to me many many many times. Tons of people rave about this book. I cant wait to dive into this.

These are all the exceptional books I found tonight. But go and look for yourself. Everyone likes different things, and I may have passed by they perfect book for you. Good luck! And share any good books you find.

Make Comics Like the Pros by Greg Pak and Red Van Lente

I grew up reading graphic novels and manga with my bestie, Mimz. Pulling all-nighters reading and being on Gaia. Good times. I have always wanted to know how to make comics. Making comics has always intrigued me. Being an art student, I like to branch out my ideas, thought, dreams, and stories onto paper.

Graphic novels and manga are like literary butterflies. I don't know why they are hated on so much. They have such vivid stories and characters, like any other book you would read. And they are visually entertaining, like a tv show. It's the best of both worlds. /rantover

Synopsis:

I liked this book. It was very thorough. I liked how they showed the process and development in the dialogue and writing sections. How it isn't writing one time and it's all perfect. It is a process with editors and friends double-checking each other ideas. How making a comic is team-based. Also, how everything is not permanent and set in stone. Scenes can change. Dialogue can change. Everything can change! You don't need to be afraid of perfection, but to word vomit and get your ideas out there. Shows these authors are not perfect, and that it took them many times and tons of practice to get where they are now.

This book also shows some parts on the aesthetics view on comics. Shows you how to make proper dialogue bubbles, and where your characters should go. They show examples of how to create emphasis on certain scenes or characters. Its a good beginning book. I cant wait to take their advice in action! I liked this book and will probably share it with some fellow art students.

Here is a look of some of the pages from inside the book:
(I found these off google)

The one thing I didn't like was the font or the size of the font. Something was very off. I kept losing my spot, and needing reading breaks. I never have that problem. It was very wonky in my eyes. I think the font was too thin and tall. But that is totally subjective.

I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.

Getting over a horrid cold

Yikes! I haven't posted in a while. School started, which is going insane but good overall.
I'm pumped!I'm taking 3 heavy studio art classes. Many many many hours of outside work.
Doesn't mean I have stopped reading! Since the Bout-of-Books Read-A-Thon, I have read 12 books. then I got the most horrendous cold ever. I shall spare you the details. Even I don't want to think about it. Haha.
Right now I am working on catching up with school work and reviews. I am trying my very best.

Now I am going to lay in the sun with my pup and take a nap. I want this cold to be gone asap.
