The Comic Book Story of Video Games

by Jonathan Hennessey
and Jack McGowan

At first, I wanted to read this to know the history of video games, but the more I read the more confusing it got. It is a million times better if you already love video games and know a lot of game designers and developers. This book is for the avid gamer.

After reading the first 10 pages, I was completely lost on the jokes and the people they brought up. Then I gave it to my brother, who has been gaming since he was born, and he was laughing every couple seconds. He says it is a very interesting book. He loves the style of art and imagery. It brought back so many childhood memories of him. He loved seeing Doom and Halo.

Lastly, I received this book for an honest review from bloggingforbooks.com.

Eat Beautiful by Wendy Rowe

Eat Beautiful
I was so excited to receive you.
giddy in anticipation,
as I wait for the delivery man.
But when you came,
you were not what I expected.

so much hype
and beautiful images
when really,
you reminded me of every pretentious hipster hippy,
 I have ever met.
all the recipes and advice were nice,
but unrealistic.

Now off to someone else's home.
Hopefully,
you find the love you deserve.

-Ellie

p.s. I received a copy from Blogging for Books for my honest review.
